ITAC is a committee comprised of auto shops all over the region which come together to offer apprenticeships to young adults! iTAC is an industry-driven apprenticeship program, founded on the belief that mastery occurs on the job. Through apprenticeship all people have the opportunity to earn competitive wages, find meaningful and fulfilling work, and pursue lifelong learning.
After successful completion of either of these programs, apprentices will receive a certificate of completion from the State of Washington.
The NW Auto Care Alliance Scholarship funds students who are entering, continuing, or completing their education above high school level. One is awarded in the automotive field and one in general education. Applicants must belong to the immediate family of NWACA (in good standing) and/or their employees and their immediate families. A selection criterion includes financial needs, demonstrated desire to further their education, and academic aptitude. This year’s winner is Owen Anderson from B&B Auto repair in Bremerton.
Owen has been with B&B for over two years and has demonstrated the knowledge and work ethic of a valuable employee. We are so proud that he has won this scholarship and look forward to seeing his future in the automotive repair industry.
